tapestries 2020
The tapestries here are a document of two bodies of work.
” Road Trip ” is a compilation of 100,000 photos taken during an extensive trip visiting sites critical to the civil rights movement in the sixties. The upper and lower panels are photographs taken at locations and the central panel documents the view out the car window documenting names of towns, highways and roads.
” Color in the Industrial Field ” is a compilation of nine distinct areas that have in some way been affected by industry or the human hand. Each site was chosen for its unique color signature and each color panel is made up of approximately 3,000 unique images.
